George is Senior Pastor of Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church in
Holland, MI.  He attended college at Trent University in Ontario, Canada
and received his M. Div in 1986 from Calvin Theological Seminary.  He and
his wife, Beth, have two daughters.

Rev. De Jong served for four years at Georgetown CRC in Hudsonville, MI
before coming to Holland Heights CRC in 1990.

One of the most significant influences on his life and ministry in recent years was
traveling to Israel and coming to understand something of the land and the culture
of the Biblical period.  This has sparked a passion & hunger in his heart to study
the Biblical text in its Jewish context so that his service of Him might be fuller.
